| We are looking for a Remote MySQL DBA to optimize and maintain four databases on two servers for a large financial services company. The DBA will be required to:
1. Automate database backups and create a backup restoration script.
2. Size and maintain databases.
3. Implement user security.
4. Review and optimize queries, functions and processes.
5. Consult on and implement replication.
6. Document the backup, restoration and replication processes as well as updated formal diagrams of the data structure.
The remote DBA is expected to be accessible via web chat, email and phone during the regular business hours as well as remain available for emergency situations after hours.
Technical environment is SUSE Linux and MySQL 5.0.67. |
